Several DevCollab team members have, um, a fondness for puns. Because we work in open source software, naturally, someone came up with “open sauce”. (That someone’s last name may, or may not, rhyme with the word “chewy”.) 

So we’re launching Open Sauce, which will eventually be our shared collection of sauce recipes!

In our work, we do a lot of information architecture, and help clients with taxonomy. So there’s been a lot of internal conversation about “what is a sauce?” Well, because food is good, we are going to be, uh, more fluid with this definition. Let’s say that what defines “sauce” is a spectrum, not a binary. So: pasta sauces, dessert sauces, gravies, salsas, chutneys, syrups, marinades, glazes, frostings, jams… surprise us!
