Stop Screaming Into the Void: How to Reach People by Writing Accessible Web Content (Free Training)
This is a free training for anyone who is nonprofit staff. In this age of misinformation, tech access gaps, and the AI-driven traffic apocalypse, it is more important than ever that the content we create to be accessible and trustworthy.
With just a few changes to your typical workflow–doing things differently rather than doing more–you can make your content more accessible, consistent, and clear.
In our efforts to make websites, we often skip over the most important thing: the very words we’re writing on a page. We may know a lot about our mission work, but our confidence quickly drops when we’re writing for the web:
- Is this too long?
- Does it contain too much jargon?
- What alternative text should I enter for this complex infographic?
In this free training, we get into the nitty gritty of ensuring our written content, and its images and other embedded media, are accessible and inclusive. We’ll workshop real content together, uncovering the most common challenges and mistakes that even accessibility-aware organizations make. We will also show you freely available add-ons for Drupal and WordPress to help you write for the web better.
Sign up for our free training. We will follow up to schedule with you.
Note: we take privacy seriously, and we will never share your contact information with any other organization outside of DevCollaborative.
