Southeast Asia Resource Action Center

SEARAC’s aging WordPress site was cumbersome to work with, the dated design failed to reflect the organization’s energy and impact, and their advocacy work in EveryAction was managed separately from the website.  The navigation and information architecture no longer reflected SEARAC’s work accurately.

We updated their sitemap to match the mental model of their Southeast Asian American constituents and policy makers. Campaign and Issue pages were developed to pull in the latest related news and resources, and to highlight both objective data and personal experiences.
Pixels & Pulp built a fresh design system that effectively expresses SEARAC’s rich demographic and powerful work, using colors and graphics from their legacy brand.
To support the new design, we built a variety of custom content types and WordPress blocks including Testimonials, Stats, and Action Forms. The Action Forms  allow SEARAC editors to seamlessly embed EveryAction forms on their website, automatically styled with the new design.

The result is a striking website with an attention-grabbing new look and the tools the SEARAC team needs to build power with diverse communities from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

I feel more confident in being able to make changes and edits to the site. Adding posts is now simpler, and features like the photo gallery and customizable buttons offer new and creative ways to build engaging content.
